Double Fingerprint Pendant
So you want to create a double-sided fingerprint impression... let's go!
As your moldable Heirloom Wax is cast exactly as received, you can create an impression on either side of the wax, and we will cast the pendant as is.
So, how is it done?
The easiest way to do this is at the same time.
Rather than impressing on the clear template, get both of your fingers and press against each other with the wax in the middle. This will create an impression on both sizes. The only thing you need to be mindful of here is the shape of the wax once done. Remember, it will be cast exactly as is :) So make sure that you don't over-squish and you're happy with the pendant shape with both fingerprints on.
Securing the wax in the tin
Normally, you'd push the wax onto a clear template. This is so we have a glossy bendable surface that the impression is stuck to, making it nice and easy for our team to separate from. As you won't be using this template, it means your wax will be moving around the tin during transit. Whilst this isn't necessarily going to cause any issues, if the outside environment gets warmer, the wax can soften again and your impression may get ruined in transit.
To solve this, get a single sheet of paper towel, Cut it to the length of the tin, and carefully wrap your pendant in the paper a couple of times. Then place this inside the tin, being careful not to over-pack it and slide the lid over the top. This should secure the wax in place during transit.
